Katherine Butler joined Sky Studios, the home of Sky Original Drama and Comedy, in 2023 as Director of Commissioning, Drama for the UK & Ireland.

Butler heads up the commissioning team, working directly with indies and third-party producers, building the slate of Sky Original dramas that includes upcoming series such as Mary & George, The Tattooist of Auschwitz and The Day of the Jackal.  

Former Creative Director at The Ink Factory (for whom she Executive Produced The Night Manager for Disney+ Hotstar in India, and documentary feature film The Pigeon Tunnel for Apple+), Butler also previously worked at Raw, where she produced feature films American Animals and Dream Horse, and Film4, where she was Deputy Head of Film.
