Simon Cox serves as EVP Content & Acquisitions at Banijay Rights, where he leads the global distributor’s acquisitions team.

Simon is responsible for setting the overall acquisition strategy for Banijay Rights, which includes determining the genre and type of programming to be acquired each year, selecting the best content for distribution and building relationships within the global production industry to secure the best content partnerships. He’s been responsible for acquisitions of some of Banijay’s most successful series, including upcoming drama Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light and global format hit LEGO Masters.

Previously, Simon was Head of Acquisitions at Endemol Shine International, which was acquired by Banijay in 2020.  Prior to this role, Simon held senior positions at Ingenious Media and BBC Worldwide.
